Kielder

Kielder

Kielder Forest near the Scottish border in England.  It boasts the largest man-made lake in England and Kielder Forest itself is a pine plantation.  The current use of this landscape is for wood production combined with accommodating the increased interest in the outdoor leisure activities.  This dual use of landscape questions what perceived is as wilderness versus what is manipulated to seem like wilderness?

All paintings are 41cm x 41 cm and price includes framing.
